My name is Kelsey, and I am a criminal defense attorney in Cleveland, Ohio whose passion is cooking tasty, (mostly) healthy meals. I live with my wonderful husband, Zak, our vizsla, Roo Bear, our cat, Wheatley, and our rabbit, Lumpy. I’m an omnivore and Zak is lacto-ovo-pescatarian who will tolerate meat-based stocks in his food. Which means I cook a lot of stuff that would be vegetarian but for the stock (which is an easy substitute!), a lot of stuff that is pescatarian, a lot of stuff that is lacto-ovo-vegetarian, some stuff that has meat (especially stuff that is great with “meat added” but not “meat necessary”), and some stuff that is vegetarian. The vast majority of the recipes on this blog will be savory – neither I nor Zak have a particular sweet tooth, so not much baking goes on in our tiny little kitchen. I try to focus on creating healthy meals with as many homemade components as possible, although I love salt and fat as much as the next girl and my recipes will sometimes reflect that.
